“God’s Holiness in our Everyday Lives”
Class Description

“If holiness, then, is so basic to the Christian life, why do we not experience it more in daily living?”

“Why do so many Christians feel constantly defeated in their struggle with sin?”

“Why does the Church of Jesus Christ so often seem to be more conformed to the world around it than to God?”

Jerry Bridges asks and poses answers to these questions in his classic book, The Pursuit of Holiness, which will be the reading material for this term’s Great Commission Training class. God commands His people, “Be holy, for I am holy.” We know that as believers we are to pursue holiness, but sometimes we are unclear as to what is our part and what part is God’s. And further, how do we allow the pursuit of holiness to impact our day-to-day lives? No matter where you are in your journey toward greater holiness, this class will encourage you to press on
toward the upward call of maturity in Christ.
